Madfin Series
Madfin Shark Series
After many requests from anglers that specialise in fishing for BIG non-eds like sharks and rays we have decided to add the Madfin Series to the 25 Species. The Madfin Shark Series has been designed as a format where anglers can fish, not only for sharks, but also for rays and skates.
There will be 3 distinctly different competitions under the Madfin Shark Series:
Madfin Series as part of the 25 Species
Participating anglers in the 25 Species comp have the opportunity to fish in the Madfin Series as well. Here all anglers will fish for 12 non-ed species where the best points scored will be the 12 fish that count.
An angler has to select one of the main competitions - R&S or Boat - before he can take part in the Madfin Series. All non-ed catches caught from the side will then count for both the Madfin or R&S comps. Non-eds caught from a boat can only count for the Boat comp.
Prizes will be allocated just for the Madfin Series - best points overall, biggest shark, best points for a shark, biggest ray/skate, best points for a ray/skate, best catch overall

Madfin Shark R&S Challenge
We are planning at least 1 Madfin R&S Shark Challenge to be held in the Macassar area towards the end of November or beginning of December this year, and hopefully another 1 towards February next year.
This will be a seperate competition from the 25 Species with its own rules and prizes. More information will follow soon.
Madfin Shark Boat Challenge
We are planning a Madfin Boat Shark Challenge to be held at Struisbaai early in 2012 - probably around March/April.
